Rural Retreats

There are so many things to do in and around Fontaine de Tarrieu that we have difficulty naming them all, but here are a few to wet your appetite.

Biking has become a popular form of getting around the local area especially with over 420 historical monuments in the region. Whether you are mountain biking or meandearing along the country roads or lanes, there is everything for all ages. FdT can provide excursions and maps for those who are interested in exploring the surroundings.

Horse riding. It is planned to introduce horse riding to the property in 2005, but is currently provided for at beautiful rural stables just some 4 kms from the property. Either experienced or a novice rider, the riding school is able to provide all ages and skills some of the most beautiful woodlands and terrain to ride over.

Quad biking is not on the property but is located approximately 3 kms from the property. If you don´t fancy walking through the forests or woods then why not hop onto a quad and ramble around the countryside? We have kept quads off the property in order to maintain the tranquil peace of the countryside.

Fishing is an artform for all participants. If you are looking at trout fishing or simply want to go after carp or other fresh water fish, there is a large lake bordering the property and a large trout farm and open lake for those wanting to try their hand at catching their evening dinner.

Mountain climbing, intorduced in 2005, has become a fun distraction on the property. The cliffs are bordering the property and require prior booking in order to utilise this activity.
